Donald Trump on Monday indulged a suggestion from the crowd that Mike Tyson should fight Kamala Harris. It was another yikes moment for the Republican presidential nominee, who has declared himself a “protector” of women.
During a rally in Reading, Pennsylvania, the former president was discussing the ex-heavyweight champion and appeared to react to a spectator comment.
“He says, ‘Put Mike in the ring with Kamala.’ That will be interesting,” Trump added. His supporters roared in approval.

Trump’s dissonance between branding himself as the preferable choice for women and intimating violence against them has increased in the days before the election.
Trump was also in North Carolina on Monday and used a threatening vibe to complain that former first lady Michelle Obama “hit” him ― in the form of criticism.
“I’d actually love to hit back,” he said.
Last week, Trump imagined a scenario in which former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) was serving in the military.
“Let’s put her with a rifle, standing there, with nine barrels shooting at her, OK? Let’s see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face,” Trump said.
Trump led into his comments about Tyson, who at age 58 will fight Jake Paul on Netflix this month, by falsely accusing two women gold medalists in boxing at the Paris Olympics of being transgender. Both were born female, the International Olympic Committee said.
